1. Overall Itinerary
Originally this travel had an estimated duration of 2 years, which also reflected the amount of savings under my accounts to support it. At the time of updating this page (February 2019), the total length of the travel is expected to be about 2.5 years. (The travel started on September 5th, 2017, in Washington D.C., USA)
I usually do not have detailed itineraries for upcoming countries. In fact, the upcoming countries are also subject to change. However, I have a set direction of traveling, which is from West to East. Also, I have approximate numbers of months assigned to the continents that I am visiting. Having said that, the following are the regions that I am visiting in the chronological order:
1. North America
2. Central America
3. South America
4. Europe (North and West)
5. Middle East
6. Europe (Central and East)
7. Western Asia
8. Central Asia
9. Northeast Asia (Mongolia and Eastern Russia)
The following map shows you a quick overall route:
Past or planned routes in each region is found in the slides:
2. Where am I right now?
The glowing red dot on the map is where I am at the moment, as long as I have a phone signal. You can also see the past destinations while scrolling down inside the left box area. Basically, the map shows my location histories from day 1.
You can also directly view the page here.
3. For those who want to ‘run into’ me on the roads
As my own record, I keep track of the places where I spent the night each day. I also update my best estimates of my future destinations for the next several months. For those who want to meet me on the roads, feel free to refer to this table, or simply contact me to ask! I’m open to meet anyone.
