Impressions of Mexico

In three days since I entered Mexico, I was greeted with giant cacti. I had assumed that it was overly stereotypical to associate cactus with Mexico, but it turned out to be true. This picture was taken in Baja California Peninsula and I haven’t seen any taller cactus in continental Mexico afterward.

Regardless of what people talk about Baja California, either scary or romantic, the peninsula offered a wide spectrum of experience, from beaches to desserts and from total dirt roads to smooth highways. This is one of the few stretches of roads that had absolutely no potholes, and that was enough to celebrate the ride.
